Part 2: Militant anti-Theism & hijacking science: Dawkins & Krauss on Redemption Radio

This February, Dr. Richard Dawkins and Dr. Lawrence Krauss joined forces at ASU's Gammage Auditorium in Tempe, Arizona. They met to have a lively discussion on the topic of "something from nothing"-- which is an essential part of Krauss' newest book (A Universe from Nothing). The house was packed and the energy was high.

Vocab Malone (Backpack Radio) and I were in attendance to listen to what was expected to be a very interesting discussion. After attending the event we determined that we needed to do a radio program on the event and some of the underlying issues. We could think of no better man to have on with us to confront Dawkins & Krauss than Dr. Jonathan Sarfati from Creation Ministries International (Creation.com). Dr. Sarfati wrote a fantastic book refuting Dawkins called "The greatest hoax on earth?".

This show is fantastic! It needs to be shared. If you get an opportunity to hear this show or to listen to the actual lecture given at Gammage you will discover that these militant anti-thiests are not satisfied with discussion and debate- they deny that there is even a debate at all- they want your universities, hospitals, politics and... your children.

Help Apologia refute Richard Dawkins and reach his devotees

Famous anti-Theist Richard Dawkins is behind one of the largest expected gatherings of Atheists in recent times. Dawkins is in an all out attack on God and Christianity. He does not simply want to offer another suggestion-by way of worldview- he believes that the world will be a better place when the ignorance of belief in God is completely eradicated. He is specifically behind ideas that would make being a Christian in society something to be deplored and not embraced.

Apologia has prayerful plans to attend the "Reason Rally" in Washington D.C. at the end of March. We plan on being on location to reach the people in attendance and to film a documentary to equip Christians to reach Atheists and to expose the inherent intellectual poverty of Atheism. We need your help! We are asking out supporters to prayerfully consider helping us with the funds necessary for this very important project. Pastor Luke and I are planning on flying out to D.C. (my old home) and spending several days engaged in evangelism as well as filming professional quality footage to engage Atheism, expose Dawkins agenda and to equip believers with the tools necessary to reach your Atheistic friends and neighbors.

On the radio with Atheist Dan Barker

I was recently asked by the guys at Backpack Radio to participate in a broadcast where they would interview well-known Atheist Dan Barker (Freedom from Religion Foundation) about their new-campaign wherein they put up billboards of local Atheists promoting Atheism saying things like: I am a childhood Christian indoctrination survivor. It was an interesting program-- though I would've loved to have had the whole show as a "cross-fire" type of situation. We discuss his personal history as well as his motivation behind the campaign. We also take a segment to respond to the billboard campaign.

Memoriam: Christopher Hitchens

Last week well-known anti-Theist Christopher Hitchens died and went to meet his Creator. Christopher Hitchens was truly an amazing man. He was an immensely gifted writer, speaker and wordsmith. He was someone that could melt your heart on the one hand and force a violent reaction on the other. He was a person created in the image of God and is worthy of our love and concern. We acknowledge the fact that he was at war with his Creator-- but, that is precisely where all of us would be without the gracious act of God opening our eyes to see Jesus and the beauty of the Gospel.

He was also a man that shared a lot of common beliefs with Christians (he was pro-life and a defender of the unborn) and in many respects was on the same side of the fence as us. However, he was an outspoken enemy of the faith which he spent many of the last years of his life attacking. As far as we can tell, he died in that state- and if he did- sadly, his day of reckoning came. It is a tragedy because he knew the Gospel. As a matter of fact, you can pull audio where he actually corrects men like Dinesh D'souza and "liberal" Christians on what Christianity really is. Our prayers go out to those who loved him and were touched by him.

What should be the Christian response to the death of Christopher Hitchens? How did he help us? How do we respond to his positions and those of his Atheist devotees?

Douglas Wilson on end-times (commercial free!)

Check out the audio for this very special episode of Redemption Radio (sponsored by Calvary Addiction Recovery Center). I interview our special guest Douglas Wilson who is a well-known author/pastor/theologian and Christian Apologist. He has debated Dan Barker from the freedom from religion foundation and he and Christopher Hitchins had a very well-done movie made about their debate tour called "Collision"-- you should definitely pick-it-up.

In this broadcast we look at the issue of eschatology or the study of last-things otherwise known as end-times stuff. What we say may actually shock you. Doug wrote a great little book called "Heaven Misplaced". I share the same view of end-times as Wilson (postmillennialism) and it is not very common but I believe is the most faithful to the text of God's Word and will excite you and change your view of the future.
